Red Dead Redemption 2, the third entry in the Red Dead, was released on the 26th October eight years after the previous instalment was released for the PS2 back in 2010. This western themed adventure game has received rave reviews so far. Set in an open world that encompasses five fictitious states in the united states – New Austin, West Elizabeth, New Hanover, Ambarino and Lemoyne – the player gets to control the character of Arthur Morgan an outlaw, taking part in heists, shootout, rescues and chases.

This title has been tipped by many as the possible bestseller of 2018. Only time will tell if that will come to pass but the reception has certainly been high both in terms of critic and player reviews with many praising for the game for its story, characters and the high level of detail lavished on its open world. The title carries on the features of the last entry along with a host of additional features such as online multiplayer, swimming and dual-wielding. It also adds choice into many of its missions and NPC interactions which can impact the player later in the game.

If you like open world adventure games and feel like embarking on a Western adventure then this could well be the title for you. Feel free to take a look at the launch trailer linked at the top of this article.
