Have you got no one to go Trick or Treating with this year? Or are you too afraid to set foot outside? Not a problem. There are a host of Halloween events you can attend without having to leave the comfort of your own home. Here is a brief overview of some of those available:
Destiny 2 – Festival of the Lost
Destiny 2’s Halloween event returns and this year, and, as the early game has gone free to play, anyone can join in. The tower has been decorated to commemorate all those who have been lost with special Halloween masks available. The Haunted Forest is back and players can collect candy to exchange for Mystery Grab Bags. There are also a number of Halloween themed skins available in the cash shop, the Eververse. You can find full details of the event here.
Overwatch – Halloween Terror
Junkenstein’s Revenge returns to Overwatch for the Halloween period, along with a number of spooky skins and unlocks. Team up with three other players to defend Adlersbrunn from a hoard of spooky horrors. Holloween themed unlocks are also available for completing the weekly challenges. Full details of this year’s Overwatch Halloween event can be found here.
Final Fantasy 14 – All Saint’s Wake
The Continental Circus have returned with a new fiendish plot. What are they up to? Well, finding out will net you a new mount and two new housing items, a poster and a pumpkin carriage. The event includes the return of the Haunted House, a Halloween themed, stealth based, dungeon where you get assigned three tasks at random and have to complete them without being caught by the various fiends in residence.
As usual, the seasonal event and rewards are unique and cannot be completed again once the event ends on 1st November, but many of the past years rewards can be found on the cash shop, if you missed them. More details of the event can be found here.
World of Warcraft Classic and Retail – Hallows End
If you missed it for the last 15 years, then Hallows End is back with the Headless Horseman terrorising Azeroth again. You can find him setting fire to Goldshire and other villages and also in the Seasonal Dungeon, where you can kill him and, if you are very lucky, loot his mount. Trick or Treat buckets can be found at inns all over Azeroth and beyond and a number of pets, mounts, costumes and masks can be picked up. This event is running both on retail, the current version of World of Warcraft, and on Classic.
Also, Blizzard’s cash milking team are in the Halloween spirit and have released a new Halloween themed mount, in exchange for your real world cash, that is. How generous. More details on the event can be found here.
Anthem – Season of Skulls
Anthum’s new event Season of Skulls replaces the earlier Cataclysm event. Fort Tarsis has had a makeover and a thick fog has enveloped the land. There are unique rewards to be grabbed and the content has no level requirements, so all can join in. Vanity items can also be unlocked by completing the weekly and seasonal challenges. You can find out more about this event here.
