Capital Sci-Fi Con 2017 & CHAS – A Great Cause!

One month ago, CHAS and Capital Sci-Fi Con offered 4 weekend passes for one of our lucky readers. And we do have a winner indeed! Congratulations to Mark!

Thank you all, for entering the competition and don’t despair! Tickets are still available for this great event (18th and 19th of February).

Held at Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh, Capital Sci-Fi Con is the ONLY not-for-profit family friendly science-fiction and movie convention in Scotland. Run by sci-fi and fantasy super fan and community fundraiser hero Keith Armour, all profits raised go directly to Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: The event will showcase original film and TV memorabilia from world class movies and shows such as Dr Who and Star Wars; live special effects presentations; retro gaming consoles; craft experts to show you how to make your favourite characters costumes as well as TV and film props; AND the hotly anticipated cosplay competition for age groups ‘12 and under’ and ‘13 and over’.

Actors and voice-over artists from the small and silver screen will be making appearances over the weekend along with cult comic book illustrators and writers. Just some of the big names in attendance include Gary Erskine, Pam Rose (Star Wars) and Jon Campling (Harry Potter).

As well as the interactive features, there will also be specialist traders selling a range of artwork, memorabilia, collectables, comics, jewellery and toys.
