Battle of Jakku Teaser for SW Battlefront

In the wake of Star Wars Battlefront‘s gameplay trailer, EA Dice has released a new teaser trailer this week which offers a glimpse of the Battle of Jakku. Jakku, the desert planet from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will be featured in the game on two maps. They will give the players a chance to participate in the battle which formed the planet’s history, 29 years before the events of The Force Awakens. The intent to intertwine the game and the upcoming film is obvious, but it certainly will be interesting for the fans to take part in events which, presumably, created some of the wreckage Daisy Ridley’s character Rey, was sifting through in the Episode VII trailer.

The Battle of Jakku will be available to all players from 8th December as downloadable content, and for those who pre-order the game it will be available a week earlier.

Rostislav is a Protestant theologian and a self-trained Sith, counting Jan Hus, Dorothee Sölle, Darth Revan and Darth Traya among his main influences. He hails from the hundred-towered city of Prague, where he had spent a large part of his life creating worlds and inspiring young generations to roleplay. His involvement in organising children's camps led him to accidentally writing a Lord of the Rings musical, which made him temporarily famous, and a Three Musketeer-Jedi fanfilm, which didn't. He has recently moved to the frozen waste of Finland, because that's it, the Rebels are there.
